Constructing the magazine Advert
For the 3rd and final part of our course work, it involved us creating our own magazine advert to go with the digipak and to go with our music video. We had to make sure we kept the themes consistent so we used black and white squares similar to the digipak, it became our theme. We came up with the idea from other band digipaks like No Doubts "Push and shove" and a chessboard as we used chequered black and white squares. Again we had to make sure the images were seen in the magazine advert so we made sure to put black images on white squares and vice versa.
The white and black blocks worked well together but I also realised that I needed to introduce the images from the music video and put them onto the magazine advert, I had to use the same filter on the images as I used in the digipak after doing this I would have to shrink them down so they could fit into the blocked spaces.
We needed a particular font for our advert so we used the same font as the digipak from Dafont because we wanted to keep things the same and create a signature for the band. The font was "CM Dragon Tattoo" the same as the title on our other course work involving the band.
